2.5-day course

This course focuses on mastering self-leadership and provide you with the skills to lead others with a mentoring and inclusive mindset.

It is a two-and-a-half-day on-line workshop which will equip you with the necessary skills to effectively engage with your employees and developing yourself through a process of self-discovery, exploration and practical experiences. 

Overview

Your journey commences by exploring:

  • What mentoring entails
  • Future world of work – the 4th industrial revolution and agile leadership
  • How to lead in a volatile, uncertain, complex and agile (VUCA) work environment
  • Changes in leadership over the past decades
  • Living webs of leadership
  • Leadership (The Art of Possibility)

In module 2 we explore the dynamics of behavior:

  • Understanding the role behaviour plays in effectively leading and mentoring others
  • Understanding and mastering the skills involved in mentoring
  • Listening skills
  • Questioning skills
  • Feedback skills
  • Responding skills
  • Boundary management skills
  • Exploring self-leadership concepts
  • Locus of control
  • Assertiveness
  • Conflict styles

Module 3 provides you with the knowledge and skills to:

  • Do informal mentoring
  • Apply the formal mentoring process with confidence
  • Understand the dynamics of mentoring
  • Understand and apply the principles of mentoring
  • Effectively contract with the mentee
